Combat Self Defence Academy

Tatakai Jikoboei Do Kempo ( The Way of Combat Self Defence ) was founded in March 2003 by Sensei Paul Corrigan .

Having studied numerous martial arts from the age of 11, Sensei Corrigan decided he needed a simple yet effective system of self defence. With this in mind TJD Kempo was formulated using the experiences Sensei Corrigan had aquired through years of employment in Security and Law Enforcement.

TJD Kempo has elements of a number of arts studied by it’s founder. These include; Shotokan Karate, Combat Karate, Dragon Kenpo, Kenpo Karate, Freestyle Karate, and Jujitsu. Specific elements from these arts plus many more are combined in this effective system of self defence. The system has captured the imagination of numerous practitioners due to it’s simple yet effective concepts and techniques.
