Duncan’s Martial Arts Academy is the culmination of over thirty years of martial arts training by SiGung Edward R. “Rudy” Duncan. After spending many years training in a variety of styles ranging from Aikido to Tae Kwon Do and Kali-Escrima, SiGung Duncan began teaching Kempo around 1980. Over the next 20 years, SiGung Duncan taught in several locations such as Geddes, Camillus, Baldwinville, Court Street, and the North Area Athletic Club on Pond Street in 1998. As part of the North Area Athletic Club, the focus of SiGung Duncan’s teachings became the youth of the surrounding neighborhood. While teaching at the North Area Athletic Club, SiGung Duncan had a policy of free martial arts instruction for anyone under 18 years of age allowed the Academy to positively impact the lives of many “at risk” youth. SiGung Duncan and the Instructors are very proud of the students that came to that location and how they have grown to become positive role models.

In 2004, Duncan’s Martial Arts Academy moved to its new location. Located now on New Court Ave, SiGung Duncan and his instructors continue their dedication to the students and families providing affordable quality instruction.

The objective of the adult program is to develop well rounded martial artists, who have both the historical knowledge of their art as well as the ability to use it in an emergency situation. SiGung Duncan often invites masters of other styles to the Academy to guest teach. This allows the students to gain additional martial arts knowledge beyond the Kempo realm.

Opening in 1999 and incorporating in 2006, Wing Chun & Escirma International Ltd. deals in the production/distribution of martial art DVDs, delivering national and international seminars, and providing private lessons. The company specializes in world martial art championships and movie productions.
Grandmaster Werner Leuschner, its founder and president, holds a 34 year martial art career. Along with movie producing and directing, his extensive business background has led the company into martial art internet marketing, online selling, and social commerce. www.idomartialarts.com

Sport Studio in Zenica, was founded in February 2004 as the Educational Center for Martial Arts with the goal to protect youth from the negative environment of the streets. Dr. Amir Topoljak was a key contributor in the establishment and expansion of the martial sports in Bosnia-Herzegovina and became the Chief Instructor of the Sport Studio in Zenica. Dr. Topoljak also has the task of organizing the examination dates and records of the great masters of the martial sports in Bosnia. Programs at the Sport Studio include, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Wushu, Wing Chun, and Self-defense Free Fight System.

Sport Studio has a highly trained and highly qualified staff of coaches and instructors of the martial sports. Each year the studio organizes championship tournaments and seminars. The Sport Studio Martial Arts Association is recognized by many world and international sports organizations and maintain the highest standards in martial arts training.

Christos Stamatiadis Wushu Seminars, held on the island of Thassos, Greece, offers opportunities on short term Chinese Martial Arts training “Holiday and Wushu”, as well as the possibility of a comprehensive education in Traditional Chinese Wushu “Wushu Education”.

It doesn’t matter if you are new to Wushu/Kungfu, beginner or advanced, or whether you train in Chinese Martial Arts or not. The seminars are open to everyone interested.

There are seminars in traditional fist and weapon techniques (Gun, Dao, Jian). The Daoist styles offered are Tai Ji Quan and San Huang Pao Chui. The Buddhist styles are Chang Quan and Shaolin Quan. There are also seminars offered in Sanda and self defence.

WOMA AND IT’S AFFILIATE ORGANIZATIONS CONDUCT INSTRUCTIONAL TESTING/RANKING PROGRAMS AND INTERNATIONAL SEMINARS. THEY HAVE PUBLISHED MANY VIDEOS AND BOOKS PRODUCED AND WRITTEN ON COMPETITION RULES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND MARTIAL ARTS STYLES/SYSTEMS.

OTHER GOALS OF WOMA INCLUDE PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC, TO PROMOTE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, AND AS A NETWORK INTERACTING WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS.

Our Mission is to build our students into Black Belt Champions;
to make our students more successful in life through the practice of their Kempo Karate, and to always influence them in a positive manner.

To accomplish this, we must instill the Attitude of a Black Belt;
to set goals for self improvement, and to develop the non-quitting spirit that is necessary to overcome obstacles and to be more successful.

Next, we hope to educate and influence a student’s overall Behavior, so that they will develop habits and lifestyle that will lead toward long term success; to learn and practice self-discipline in everything we do.

Finally, is to reinforce solid Character development, and to live by a set of principles and standards that can be applied to daily living; to encourage the formation of high personal standards and demonstrate respect for all human beings.

An independent International Association for Kempo – Karate – Kenpo Styles. Non-fee and Non-politics. Founded by Shihan Robert Pepels. The basis is the Kenpokai Karate and Kyokushin Budo Kai style but all kinds of martial arts organizations and systems can participate in events, seminars, competition (youth, beginners and advanced budoka’s). The WKKO combines many martial arts associations and organizations. Members from WKKO find no restrictions or obligations.

At Dragon-Phoenix Martial Arts (DPMA) we continue a long journey started 1000’s of years ago to help make society a better place. The martial arts has always been about the development of both mind and body. At DPMA we focus on our students development through time tested methods. There are no quick fixes and to truly meet any goal you must work for it. That is why we are here, to help you find ways to accomplish these goals. People do not always come through our door to be a black belt. They come through our doors so we can help them meet their goals or goals they have for their children. This is done by providing a unique experience to help them do many things like, get in better shape, improve ones focus, self-esteem, bully-prevention and of course to learn martial arts for self-defense purposes. It is never to late to start, each class taught at DPMA is geared towards the individual. Our style of martial arts (Kempo) was designed to adapt to the person not have the person adapt to the style. This allows people of all abilities to come and learn.
